Blessings to all,

Locally here, the urban neighborhoods have been ramping up with new social services. There are free meals at the schools for neighborhood children. New medical centers popping up like mushrooms around the county. If there is a crisis, people will already know where to go, and might wander fairly passively toward the resources.

There would still be looting and angry people, violence increase... but I think the first wave of financial need or panic will have a managed aspect. I see it in job listings -- all sorts of extra support in areas of risk (where "normal" jobs not connected to gv are harder to find).

But attitudes are already risky -- I wouldn't dare be a store owner now, bc people march out with big items right under video cameras, and employees don't dare confront them.

Violence has already increased, so maybe my assessment is off. There's a chance you could be safe where you are, if supportive programs are in place. But you might find people begging to stay with you. Have a backup plan to visit a friend out in rural expanses. Seasonal campsite membership. A state park route memorized.
