Default A few sites I've found useful

NUWICK 120 Hour Emergency candles are ideal for POWER OUTAGES, CAMPING, HUNTING, RV's, etc. NUWICK candles are the best candles we've ever tested. Standard candles have long been used for emergency backup lighting. Their drawback is that they offer only a single flame, shorter burn time and minimal light. That is until now. The NUWICK 120-Hour* Emergency Candle is amazingly versatile by providing LIGHT or HEAT, plus you can even COOK with them!

What makes the NUWICK Emergency Candles superior for emergencies and power outages, is that they are EXTRA LONG BURNING and that the wicks are completely independent and moveable (so as to be able to use all that wax without waste), are reusable and waterproof. Each wick can burn for about 20 hours.

If you need additional light (candlepower), heat or cooking capabilities, no problem. Simply add an additional movable wick (you can use up to 3 wicks at one time). For best results if used for cooking, we recommend using three lighted wicks.*

DETECT: A back-up to the reliance of government officials, such as FEMA, would be the possession of a small, discrete, personal radiation detector. First to know. First to escape.

BLOCK: In 1982, the FDA approved potassium iodide tablets for blocking the thyroid's absorption of cancer-causing radioactive iodine (only the thyroid absorbs iodine). Saturate the thyroid with stable iodine so it won't absorb radioactive iodine from a nuclear reactor release or nuclear bomb fallout.

DECONTAMINATE: Decontamination of yourself or your environment may be necessary. We offer radiation decontamination kits for either Cesium, Strontium, Thallium, etc. or radioactive iodine I-131 specifically.

Originally developed for the Swedish Department of Defense, Swedish FireSteel is a flash of genius. Its nearly 3,000°C spark makes fire building easy in any weather, at any altitude. Used by a number of armies around the world, Swedish FireSteel's dependability has already made it a favorite of survival experts, hunters, fishermen and campers. It has also found its way into cabins and backyards as a fool-proof way to light stoves and gas-barbecues. Amazingly enough it also works equally well when wet. We think geeks will appreciate the power of being able to start a fire with such a simple tool.

A metal blade is slowly moved across the Firesteel, generating sparks that can easily be thrown onto a small pile of dry grass, leaves or paper to start a fire. When the fire is becoming established, thin sticks of wood can be added, gradually increasing to thicker ones.

I will try to answer as briefly as I can in blue in your quote.

first, I want to say, regarding the spiritual aspect of preparing.. HE IS SOOO GOOD!!! ..

otherwise, I would be like the ones (family members) I am now praying my heart out for.. who just don't have a clue.. ohhh yeah.. they know some tough times are coming.. but truly they have not.. ? or will not ? consider that these could indeed be the last days ..

with all that said.. I have some more ?'s.. (in red, below) and would be happy to do private messaging, rather than take up all this space on the forum .. tho, maybe it would be a good thing, for any others who may happen to join?, right?

We got a specialized clotting agent that would even take care of arterial bleeding for wounds ...
what is this clotting agent?

My aresenal will/does have colloidal silver, olive leaf extract and bentonite clay. I make the colloidal silver and olive leaf extract (way cheaper and I know what I'm getting). All three of those will handle some serious or not so serious emergencies.

can you tell me about this? colloidal silver? how do you make it? It is a clear liquid that you can drink or apply topically. It is made by 2 silver rods suspended in distilled water with tiny amount of electricity. This is a good site and there are many others. http://www.silvermedicine.org/basicgenerator.html I did not build my own. Instead after much research purchased the "Silver Puppy" http://www.silverpuppy.com/http://www.silverpuppy.com/ It kills over 650 bugs. I particularly like it for sinus maladies. It clears it like crazy (snuffed up the nose). Internally for flu, cough, etc. Much on the web site I gave.
what is olive leave extract andbentonite clay for?
Olive Leaf again is an old remedy that works for whatever ails you. My husband is extremely skeptical about such things but is a firm believer in this. It knocks out cold, flu, etc really fast especially if taken at the outset. Couple of handfuls of the leaves covered with cheap vodka, shake every day for two weeks, strain. It tastes awful, but boy does it work. To rid the alcohol, especially for children, put in warm water for 5 minutes and then drink. I purchase leaves from here www.olivus.com Lots of good info on this site as well.

Bentonite clay has extreme drawing power to remove poisons from bites, including snake, boils, stings, infected wounds. Can be used temporarily to stop bleeding. Internally adsorbs poisons in your intestinal tract and flushes it out of your system. Keeps your intestinal tract clean to aid your immune system. Gets rid of parasites as well.

Apple cider vinegar (Braggs) and unsulfered black strap molasses,

for? Good all around nutrition and energy with the trace minerals we never get. There is much about these products alleviating arthritis, pain constipation, etc. They are just really good absorb able supplements. They have high amounts of potassium that we don't get much of and will die if we don't get it.

garlic capsules

a necessity for?blood pressure, antibiotic

I do have some essential oils available as well. Lavender, tea tree, cloves, cinnamon and peppermint are the most versatile to keep the costs and volume of supplies down.

can you explain the purpose of having these items on hand?Lavender - burns, insect bites, headaches, calming, sleep help.
Tea tree, bites, cold sores, fungus, infection, topical antibiotic
Cloves/cinnamon - air born pathogens - a little on cotton ball to breath in the air around you will kill it. God instructed these 2 be included in the incense to be used in the temple to clean up after all that blood.
Peppermint can be used, a couple of drops to a gal of water, to purify water. Topically for headache, on the tummy for indigestion/cramps, energizer. Use minimally for small children. NOW Foods sells an acceptable quality essential oil without breaking your pocketbook.

There is so much more these items will do, this is just the beginning. There is tons of info on the net.

This will get you started. Hope all this helps.

thank you sooo very! much for your help, and wisdom

Regarding silver, a few years ago I was badly burned while on a backpacking trip. The next morning I hiked back down the mountain and went to the ER. The doc told me I would need therapy to ever walk again (he was quite wrong, of course!). What did he treat me with? Silver cream all over my burns. Isn't that interesting!

CS (colloidal silver) is an amazing cell regerator, thus healing wounds that won't heal. There are some amazing stories out there (documented by the way, with the MD's getting arrested for using it)

I read that in "the old days" they would put a silver coin in their milk to keep it fresh longer, and safe to drink. (before refridgeration!)

A good reason to buy a couple silver coins.

Has anyone noticed that GREEN is my favorite color! LOL

Blessings HeIsFaithful.

As you now see, there are books written about each of these treatments. And each treatment has multiple uses. Therefore, no simple answers to your simple questions.

Silvadene, a topical silver cream, has been the number one prescription antibacterial burn cream for decades. Silver does inhibit bacterial growth, and very likely viral and antifungal activity. "Western science" has no proof that it works internally, but also no proof that it doesn't. There is a warning on taking too much silver internally. It does remain in the tissues and too much will turn your skin a silver blue .

Garlic is considered "the poor man's penicillin". Garlic contains over 20 sulfur (sulfa) compounds. Garlic also breaks up cholesterol and gallstones. It is frequently used in many liver and gallbladder flushes. Topical garlic oil is excellent for otitis externa ( swimmers ear ).

Recipe for garlic oil:
Put some garlic in blender (no need to peel) and mix with some olive oil to the consistency of applesauce. Pour into dish or pie pan. You may pour a little extra olive oil on top, and set in a warm area (on top of the refrigerator, etc.) for hours to a day. The longer it sets the more potent it will be, but eight hours would be sufficient . Then strain through a cheesecloth or clean T-shirt. Store in a dark bottle with an eye dropper. No chemistry degree required.

Activated charcoal can be used very much like "Grannies" Clay. We use it in the emergency room for poisonings, It will absorb 350 times its weight in toxins (including alcohol). I even use it for stomach flu. Many missionaries will use it topically for skin infections. Applied as a poltice.

Mix activated charcoal with water to form a mud. Cut out a piece of paper towel twice the size of the area you would like to cover/treat . Place your charcoal mud on half of the paper towel , fold over and seal the three sides like a tea bag. Apply directly over the infected skin, and change whenever the poltice becomes dry.

Olive leaf has an antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. Seagate makes a quality product that comes in capsules, nasal and throat sprays. I've used the sprays frequently prophylactically when working.

Seagate's web site:http://www.seagateproducts.com/

The following web site for anemia:http://www.greengreengrass.com/

Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera,......

Shalom, Notadoc
